Founded in 2021 WEM is an innovative art gallery born from the passion and love for contemporary art of its founder Marco Bracaglia. WEM’s philosophy is based on the link between art and life and aims to place it back at the center to celebrate its beauty through the pleasure of surrounding oneself with it every day.
Seguendo tale obiettivo, WEM offre la possibilità di collezionare le opere dei suoi artisti con speciali contratti d’acquisto che si adattano alle esigenze di ogni collezionista.
WEM was born out of the artist residency project started in 2017 by Magistris & Wetzel spa, a factory founded in 1951 and a leader in cold metalworking.
WEM’s exhibition spaces span more than 1,000 square meters balanced between art and industry.
250 sqm is a maxi industrial white cube dedicated to temporary exhibitions and 750 sqm are divided into “WEM rooms” dedicated to the permanent exhibition of works by our artists.
Our philosophy is based on the link between art and life: a work of art must be enjoyed to be alive, to really exist. Believing in the power of art and its social and cultural role, WEM’s core mission is to continue to trigger virtuous circuits to invest in the artists in whom we believe and to create increasingly ambitious exhibitions in museums and international cultural institutions.
Guido Berta, Giovanni Magistris and Maurizio Wetzel, founded the Magistris & Wetzel in Ornavasso (VB) which over the years has become a leading company in the cold metal working.
Marco Bracaglia acquired M&W and turned it around in 2011 revolutionizing the company and production dynamics
M&W begins to support at production level some artists in the realization of steel works.
M&W celebrates its 70th anniversary by creating WEM –Empowering Art Platform to continue to promote and spread contemporary art
