Origami

Origami

The Origami series (2020 – ongoing) by Daniele Sigalot fully expresses his insatiable research into contrasts, between irony and semantic games. Starting from a comparison with a simple sheet of paper, the artist liberates the infinite possibilities and transforms them into sculpture. Between illusion and fantasy, Daniele Sigalot’s origami are made of metal and takes different forms that recall the fantasy word of childhood: an eagle, symbol of cunning and freedom; a unicorn, legendary creature, icon of fantasy and rarity; a swan, symbol of innocence and purity and a paper boat, symbol of love for travel and the will to explore the infinite boundaries of fantasy.
