With the Mistakes series, Sigalot highlights hidden aspects of everyday life, highlighting the beauty of simplicity, the harmony of spontaneous gestures, the genius in apparent banality. Everything is seasoned with irony, stylistic figure of the artist able to reveal hidden mechanisms.
The A4 sheet, a material with which every creative person usually interacts in the early stages of conception, is the focal point of the exhibited works as a reminder of the mistakes made. The Mistakes series is a real decomposition of the great sphere Master of Mistakes exhibited at the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna in Rome. The Mistakes will be produced and “incubated” in 2499 units, which is nearly the same number of sheets as the Master of Mistakes, 2500.
The works are an tribute to mistakes, to opportunities that were not grasped, that can lead to new perspectives.
