Look Afar (2017) is a series of artworks presented for the first-time during Moscow Biennal in 2017. The artworksconsist of unique works created through the union of sculpture and photography. A cast methacrylate frame contains two glass lenses applied to an image printed on aluminum and pearl paper. The double lens conveys the gaze and focuses a space, distancing the viewpoint from the background detail. The background represents a luminescent, mysterious and sometimes almost monochrome detail of the aurora borealis, which also returns in the two images framed by the lenses. Behind the lenses are images that become fantastic and reflect the light of the background.
